Security Clearances¶
Level One Clearance¶
Level one clearance is the lowest possible obtainable clearance at the Black Mesa Research Facility. This clearance is typically given to visitors, guests and dignitaries, tourists, and interns. The Level One security clearance grants the most minimal access to facility grounds, mainly allowing access to classrooms, lecture halls, museums, gift shops, and all other above-ground secondary income attractions. Those with this clearance are not allowed in any subterranian areas of the facility.
Level Two Clearance¶
Level two clearance is given to individuals employed by Black Mesa that operate in proximity, but have no access to research or administrative functions. This clerance is typically provided to logistics, catering, hospitality, or janitorial positions. Access to sensitive information is restricted to individuals with this clearance, but they may use the Black Mesa Network for work functions. Only limited access to subterranian areas is permitted with this clearance.
Level Three Clearance¶
Level three clearances are given to all personnel working with sensitive information or fulfilling essential duties such as security. Most research staff, security officers, speciaklists, clerks, and civilian contractors hold this clearance. Unlike all previous clearances, individuals with level three clearance must submit their identity to the retinal clearance system.
Level Four Clearance¶
Level four clearances are given to senior research staff, security, and logistics employees. Level four clearance permits acccess to high-security areas within the Black Mesa Research Facility, as well as critical administrative and security zones. Individuals with level four clearance must submit their identity to the retinal clearance system.
Level Five Clearance¶
Level five clearances are given to facility directors and specific staff members. This clearance grants unlimited access to all data within the Black Mesa Network, and the permissions to alter the network's framework. Level five clearance smay also be given to long term project leads.
